Rockband Gambling!

Bring $10 in quarters!

THE RULES

Each round one person is the PLAYER. The player position rotates counterclockwise after every song (opposite the regular instrument rotation direction). The player calls out a percentage after selecting difficulty. Everyone else has the option of betting UNDER against the player - i.e., that they won't get at least the called percentage. You can also place a FAIL bet (but beware of other players spoiling it by activating overdrive to save the player from failing). Each bet is $0.25(USD). The player matches each bet, to keep everything in nice quarter intervals.

If no one takes the bet, the player can raise the percentage to entice bets. Otherwise, the next counterclockwise person becomes the new player.

The Vocalist always picks the song. Screw your friends by deliberately picking songs you know they'll struggle with! Mis-tiered song? Exploit your knowledge of Neal's inability to play a guitar solo, Ray's inability to keep a beat, or Michael's struggle with rhythm guitar!

Playtesting with these rules (but without actual money) went very well last week. Ray was spot-on about the play working itself out without additional rules - if you keep calling percentages that are too easy, no one's going to take the bet.

Feel free to substitue shots for quarters.  Or for the ultimate fail party, use both!
